Get ready to unlock the secrets of stellar service and sales finesse! Join forces with the instructor to level up your skills, from mastering the customer journey to sealing the deal.

This course utilizes a curriculum from the National Retail Federation and prepares learners to earn the industry-recognized Customer Service and Sales certification. Although many non-essential retail storefronts closed when Covid-19 struck our service areas, demand for grocery and distribution workers rose sharply. Customer service and sales positions are still needed, but many look different. Earning the Customer Service and Sales certification opens career opportunities with online and brick and mortar specialty, discount, catalog, and independent retailers, as well as grocery stores, chain restaurants, multi-level marketing companies, or other parts of retail such as corporate headquarters, distribution centers, and call centers.

Students can attend class virtually via Zoom or in-person at the Goodwill Cedar Rapids Career & Support Services Office, located 1441 Blairs Ferry RD NE.

Scholarships available.  Students may choose to complete a 25-hour paid internship with a partner business to gain experience in customer service and sales.
